For Foren Web clients

Your domain and hosting in about 20 minutes.

Follow these steps once, and your new website can go live. You don't need any technical skills. If you get stuck at any step, message me and we'll do it together.

DomainYour web address, like yourbusiness.ie. Small yearly fee, paid to the registrar.
HostingWhere the website lives. We use a free plan, so there's nothing to pay here.
It's all yoursBoth accounts are in your name. You own your site and your address.

  1. Pick your web address

    Short, easy to say on the phone and easy to spell. Usually your business name, sometimes with your town or trade.

    • Good: doyleroofing.ie, brightsidecleaning.ie
    • Avoid hyphens and numbers if you can

    A .ie address shows customers you're an Irish business. To register one you need a connection to Ireland, which an Irish business already has.

  2. Buy the domain in your own name

    Go to the registrar I recommended to you, search for your address and buy it for one year (or more).

    • Use your own name and business email
    • Turn on auto-renew, so your address never expires by accident
    • Save your login somewhere safe

  3. Create a free hosting account

    Sign up for a free account at Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) with the same business email. Choose the free plan. You don't need to set anything up inside it.

  4. Invite me to your account

    Instead of sending me your password, you add me as a member. That way I can put your site live, and you can remove my access at any time.

    • In Cloudflare, open your account settings and find Members
    • Invite the email address I send you

    Never send your password to anyone, including me.

  5. Connect your domain

    I'll send you two short addresses called nameservers. In your registrar account, open your domain's settings, find Nameservers and replace the ones there with mine.

    That's the last step on your side. It can take a few hours, sometimes up to a day, before your address starts working.

  6. Your site goes live

    I connect your website to your address and check everything: phone, computer, contact form. You'll get a message from me when it's live.
